1. Executive Summary

Hip Hop World is a decentralized, gamified metaverse where hip hop culture is created, collected, connected, and celebrated. Players own Communities, create Cards, stack them onto Places, and compete for governance of Lands — all powered by Hip Hop Cash, a fixed-supply digital currency.

This roadmap translates the Design Plan (v9) into a phased, 57+ week build covering nine development stages — from deploying the core game board through to a full cultural ecosystem of music, art, finance, and governance.

2. The World at a Glance

The Hip Hop World is a hierarchy of nested directories. Content flows upward: Cards are posted to Places, Places aggregate into Communities, Communities form Lands, and Lands compose the World.

The HIP/HOP Duality

HIP (value) + HOP (shape) = Cash must be shaped into Cards to participate. 100 Cash (raw value) becomes 1 Card (shaped art) — the Card can be worth more than its Cash because of the art it carries.

Expansion Model

The world starts with a single Community (Mental Stamina, 0000) in Land 00. Adjacent cells unlock for purchase. When a full row or column of Communities is purchased, a new Land opens. The world earns its scale — every lit cell represents real investment.

3. Core Systems Overview

Economy — Hip Hop Cash

Fixed supply of 1 billion. Base rate: $0.10 per Cash. Cash is the universal unit of value: it funds Card creation (100 Cash / $10 each), Community creation (10,000 Cash / $1,000 each), trading, and governance voting power. 10% of supply (100M Cash) is permanently locked in territory. 90% flows freely.

  • Creating Cards: 100 Cash ($10). Purpose decided before minting. All Cards have utility.
  • Creating Communities: 10,000 Cash ($1,000) locks value into 100 Place Cards. Supports 10 levels of fractional ownership (10% increments, $100 per level).
  • Posting Cards: Members pay Communities to post Cards to Places. Revenue flows to owners.
  • Trading: Cards carry embedded Cash value. Minimum 100 Cash per Card. After initial sale, all trading is peer-to-peer.
  • Voting Power: Each Community starts with 10,000 Cash voting power. Proportional to ownership level. Grows with engagement.

Exchange rate discounts: Owning Communities reduces the Cash exchange rate (2 Communities → $0.09, up to 10 Communities → $0.01).

Membership tiers (live): Place ($5/mo), Community ($50/mo), Land ($500/mo) — or annual ($50/$500/$5K). Powered by PayPal Subscriptions API. Hard feature gates per tier, Cash rewards each billing cycle. Discounted Cash rates ($0.09 / $0.05 / $0.01). Best rate wins — discounts do not stack.

Two Value Systems

Stacking (Position Power)

First card placed holds the strongest position. Lower = more power. Rewards commitment and early action.

Holders (Card Value)

More holders = more valuable card. Determines Community power and governance influence. Rewards cultural resonance.

Governance — Land Control

The Community or Network with the most voting power controls the Land. Networks (hiphop.network) are alliances of Communities that pool voting power. Communities simultaneously compete for control and collaborate for collective growth.

Nine phases over 57+ weeks, progressing from core infrastructure to full cultural ecosystem. Each phase builds on the last.

The Currency

Weeks 9–14

Launch the Hip Hop Cash economy with token deployment, wallet integration, community purchasing, exchange rate mechanics, and membership tiers. Base rate: $0.10/Cash. 10% supply locked in territory.

The Cards

Weeks 15–22

Build the social layer: profiles, connections, teams, real-time chat, and discussion forums. Social graph (Follow/Friends/Teams) and rich media embeds via oEmbed are now live.
