About

James Bostick — better known as Jus Allah — is an American underground rapper born June 30, 1978 in Camden, New Jersey (Wikipedia; Discogs). He began collaborating with the Philadelphia crew that became Jedi Mind Tricks as early as 1994, under the *Soulcraft* moniker and the Onesoul Productions banner, and is consequently regarded as a co-founding member of the group; he stepped away in the mid-1990s to attend college, which is why he is absent from JMT's 1997 debut (Wikipedia). His recorded arrival came on JMT's 2000 album *Violent by Design*, where — rapping then under the alias *Megatraum* — he traded verses with Vinnie Paz on nearly every non-Army of the Pharaohs track. RapReviews later observed that "when underground heads talk about Jedi Mind Tricks, rarely does the conversation end without the mention of Jus Allah" (RapReviews, Aug 2 2005). He left the group shortly afterward amid uncertainty over its move to Babygrande Records, released his debut solo album *All Fates Have Changed* in 2005, rejoined JMT and Army of the Pharaohs in 2007, and departed both again in 2013 (Wikipedia). Jus Allah is known for aggressive, Afrocentric lyrics that frequently reference the Five Percent Nation, and for the dense multi-syllabic rhyme schemes of his early work (Wikipedia). Since 2013 he has worked independently, self-releasing *MMA (Meanest Man Alive)* in 2015 and *Forces at Play* in 2022, alongside a steady stream of guest verses on underground records.
